lambdalabs.com is now lambda.ai

Lambda: enabling the AI community & innovating since 2012
Few AI companies have a story like Lambda's. From facial recognition research supported by a camera in a hat, to manufacturing beloved GPU workstations and servers deployed in 97% of universities in the U.S., to launching one of the very first clouds dedicated to AI—praised for its seamless access to top NVIDIA GPUs—Lambda has been a true backbone for AI for twelve years.
Fast-forward to over 150,000 Cloud users, and Lambda continues to expand, always with a focus on AI developers. In recent weeks and months, Lambda announced a $480 million Series D raise, launched the market’s best-cost serverless inference API with top open-source models available without rate limits, was among the first to bring NVIDIA HGX B200 to the market with 1-Click Clusters, and became NVIDIA’s 2025 Healthcare Partner of the Year.
A new domain reflecting our evolution into builders and architects of AI's future
While each pivot and expansion propelled Lambda higher and faster, two items stand out to us:
- Simplicity in Our Name: Our previous domain doesn’t reflect our incorporation as “Lambda, Inc.,”.
- Our AI Focus: Lambda is one of the only pure AI players. While other GPU clouds deploy infrastructure for various use cases, Lambda deploys GPUs solely for AI workloads.
When Lambda deploys infrastructure, all our systems are selected, built, wired and tuned for AI workloads only. Our Technical Support team is built around solving problems unique to AI workloads only. Our Software, data, feature innovations are all centered on AI Developers.
Lambda is AI. Lambda.ai.
Lambda's New Digital Home: lambda.ai
With the two elements above in mind, we have made the decision to make lambda.ai our main domain, starting today. This change removes the ‘labs’ from our name once and for all, and places us precisely where we belong: at the heart of artificial intelligence.
Some of you might have seen our ads in the BART over the past couple of weeks in San Francisco, or seen us at NVIDIA GTC 2025 last week: lambda.ai was already mentioned on all our assets.
With lambda.ai live, here’s what’s next:
- Domain Transition: The former domains lambdalabs.com and lambdal.com will remain active for the foreseeable future, while we ensure a seamless migration for all our users.
- Email Migration: The transition for our team members, marketing, and systems will be progressive. Expect overlap between the old and new domains for some time. Ultimately, lambda.ai will be the sole domain used across all platforms.
- Subdomains: Our documentation (docs.lambda.ai), our Support (support.lambda.ai) and other sub-domains like news.lambda.ai are operational and ready for you.
- Lambda Stack users: Redirections are in place for the former command line; the new command line, with substituted domain, is updated on our website.
A huge thank you to our incredible customers who have been with us on this remarkable journey since 2012. Your trust and support have fueled our innovation and growth.
We’re excited to continue building cutting-edge solutions that empower AI developers. Here’s to the next chapter of Lambda’s story — together!
